CAPTAIN’S LOG: Stardate 77903.92

The Mae Jemison has been ordered to the Ocosta system to re-establish contact with the Solonai, an ancient race of scholars and historians. This was a mission that brought some familiarity to me as one of my ancestors, Rear Admiral Roy Morris, told me the story of how he was just transferred to the USS Farragut and they have established first contact with the race on his very first mission and that they were dire consequences in a future mission. Just to hear him tell it made me curious to what the life of a Starfleet officer was all about.

While my curiosity is at its highest peak, this made me wonder… have they learned their lessons from nearly 150 years ago or will – dare I say it – history repeat itself? Only time will tell.
